A European operator of floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels was faced with increasing demands on their HR function as they were on a sustained growth trajectory. The organizations’ HR director had extensive business travel across APAC and was unable to focus on the needs of the company’s Singapore HR team. Although the HR director realized that she was facing this problem, she was not in a position to hire a full-time deputy to help her at the strategic level.

X-PM was able to put in place an executive interim manager with more than 15 years of senior-level HR experience within a few days of receiving this mandate. The HR director felt that this resource was a perfect match for the organization and immediately requested X-PM to finalize a contract for a three-month duration.

The interim manager quickly adapted to the situation and almost immediately made a considerable impact in achieving the company’s planned objectives. This gentleman was also able to add immense value to the organization’s HR team. Since he was an exceptional performer, the organization offered him a permanent role and he is currently their SVP – HR for one of their Business Units.
